These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Recipe Monkey mobile application ("App") operated by Recipe Monkey ("we", "us", "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose: managing, modifying, and improving cooking and baking recipes. You agree not to:
The App uses artificial intelligence to suggest ingredient substitutions, diagnose cooking problems, and modify recipes. AI-generated suggestions are provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated content.
You are solely responsible for reviewing and evaluating any AI suggestions before applying them to your recipes.
IMPORTANT: AI-generated recipe modifications may affect food safety. The App does not account for food allergies, dietary restrictions, or safe cooking temperatures unless explicitly stated. You are responsible for:
We are not liable for any adverse health outcomes resulting from the use of AI-generated recipe modifications.
You retain ownership of all recipes and content you create or import into the App. By using AI features, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your recipe data through third-party AI services solely to provide the App's functionality. We do not claim ownership of your recipes or AI-generated modifications to them.
Free Tier: Includes 5 AI credits, 3 URL imports, and 10 recipes (lifetime limits, not monthly).
Pro Subscription: $4.99/month, includes 500 AI requests/month, unlimited URL imports, and unlimited recipes.
Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's App Store settings. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies.
You may delete your account at any time from the App's Profile screen. Account deletion permanently removes all your data, including recipes, images, and usage history. This action cannot be undone.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules.
