Recipe Monkey ("we", "us", "our") operates the Recipe Monkey mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and display name from your Google account. We do not receive or store your Google password.
Recipe Content: Recipes you create, import, or modify within the App, including titles, ingredients, steps, images, and tags.
Usage Data: We log feature usage (e.g., AI requests, recipe imports) to enforce usage limits and improve the App. Logs include timestamps, feature type, and anonymized performance metrics.
Subscription Data: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (via the App Store) or RevenueCat. We do not collect or store credit card numbers or payment details.
When you use AI features (ingredient substitution, problem diagnosis), your recipe data (title, ingredients, steps, and your description of the problem) is sent to third-party AI providers for processing:
This data is sent solely to generate responses for your requests. Neither Anthropic nor OpenAI use your recipe data to train their models. Refer to their respective privacy policies for details on their data handling practices.

Your data is stored on Supabase-managed infrastructure. We implement row-level security policies so users can only access their own data. Images are stored in Supabase Storage with access controls. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the App. When you delete your account:
Account deletion is immediate and irreversible.
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of the sale of your data. We do not sell personal information.
EU/EEA residents (GDPR): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and port your data. Our legal basis for processing is your consent (for account creation) and legitimate interest (for service operation). To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
We do not use third-party tracking or analytics SDKs. We do not serve ads. We do not share your data with advertisers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
